What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Specialist position at California Health Collaborative?
This temporary position within the Community Outreach and Prevention Education (COPE) Project is funded through 06/05/2025 under contract with the California Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications under the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research. Preference will be given to candidates that live in Coachella Valley area of Riverside County.
In collaboration with other staff members, this position will assist with community outreach activities around campaign topics: extreme heat safety, water conservation, Mental Health in youth, and individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) education.
Duties include (partial list)
- Provide community outreach and education throughout Riverside County primarily through tabling events
- Assist with establishing community partnerships
- Conduct presentations for organizations, partners, and community members.
Associate’s degree is preferred, but not required. A combination of experience and education demonstrating an ability to fulfill the duties of the position will be considered. Fluency in Spanish is also desired, but not required. Preference will be given to individuals with community outreach and education experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
