Job Purpose : The Youth Director is primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of youth programs, including youth activities, youth discipline, parent communication, and youth event planning.
Additional responsibilities include providing excellent customer service to our members and TPC co-workers by greeting everyone with WARMTH and exhibiting PRIDE in TPC.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Youth
- Develop and oversee summer camps, spring & winter camps, after-school programs, childcare, kids’ night out, and teenzone.
- Develop and update youth disciplinary and all other guidelines and procedures.
- Develop departmental SOPs.
- Organize and oversee Youth events & programs, including an egg hunt, Halloween, breakfast w / Santa, etc.
- Plan and execute new events and programs.
- Develop departmental operational and capital budgets with the Controller’s assistance.
- Manage all youth staff and departmental processes.
- Hire, train, and develop youth staff.
- Order supplies for childcare and all other youth events.
- Provide consistent professional communication between staff and guardians / parents.
- Inform the membership of and promote all events sponsored by the Youth Department.
- Communicate to management any occurrences involving staff or guests in the youth department that require attention in a prompt manner.
- Effectively and efficiently use equipment and purchase supplies to achieve or over-achieve budgeted cost assumptions.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the established policies and procedures.
- Perform prep work, properly clean and restock youth activity facilities as required.
- Respond to members' and / or guests’ questions and concerns professionally, promptly, and courteously.
- Perform work with minimal direct supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and drive a high-quality work environment.
- Attend, participate in, conduct, and support training and staff meetings.
- Assist in all areas of club operation as requested by management.
- Comply with departmental uniform and grooming standards.
- Implement and uphold uniform and grooming standards among Youth Counselors and other staff when applicable.
- Work effectively with all club employees and leaders.
- Work a variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends, and / or holidays.
- Develop curriculum for all youth programs and ensure efficient implementation & administration.
- Analyze programs, identify issues, and recommend solutions to improve operations.
- Manage planning process, prepare and maintain records for all activities and participants.
- Administer various partnerships among other departments to accomplish the youth department’s goals.
- Monitor strategic youth development plan and execute it.
- Develop communication and marketing materials to ensure timely and engaging information is generated for members of the club.
- Execute MOD (manager on duty) responsibilities as needed.
- Execute any other job duties requested by management when needed within or outside of the Youth Department.

Bachelor in a related educational field or equivalent experience in working with children.
