Our Private Debt (PD) asset class is currently seeking an Associate Investment Manager (AIM) who, under the direction of the Investment Manager (IM), will manage CalPERS PD portfolios. The AIM will maintain a positive team management approach while demonstrating CalPERS’ Core Values of Quality, Respect, Integrity, Openness, Accountability, and Balance in accordance with personal work ethic in alignment with CalPERS Investment Beliefs.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Evaluating, underwriting and monitoring investments in private debt funds, separate accounts, and performing analyses to determine appropriate sector allocations for the various portfolios.
- Conducting analyses and provide recommendations to the PD team on co-investment opportunities.
- Conducting analyses on private debt industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Managing relationships with existing General Partners and maintaining appropriate contacts with private debt managers, loan managers, and professional peers in the investment and broker/dealer communities as a source of valuable investment information.

Pay: $10,437.50 - $17,395.83 per month
