Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and personable Front Office Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office and delivering a positive experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reception Duties: Greet and check-in patients, answer phones, and respond to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage appointment scheduling and rescheduling, ensuring optimal patient flow and minimal wait times.
- Manage Referrals: Process, schedule, and track patient referrals.
- Patient Records: Maintain accurate patient records, including intake forms and insurance information, while adhering to confidentiality regulations.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for services.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry. Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Communication: Coordinate with therapists and other staff members to ensure effective communication and collaboration regarding patient care.
- Office Maintenance: Ensure the front office area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a medical or healthcare office setting preferred. Experience with physical therapy practices is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and healthcare providers. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certification or training in medical office administration is a plus.
