What are the responsibilities and job description for the STAFF SERVICES MANAGER I position at California State Auditor's Office?
- Conduct and coordinate complex and high-level and/or highly visible projects that require collaboration, problem solving, analysis and discretion. Provide recommendations, to ensure continuous business operations, effectiveness and process improvements
- Create and maintain written process, procedures, policies and workflows to streamline and improve efficiency within Fiscal and Business Services.
- Conduct and prepare various complex and detailed reports, documents and procedural manuals including but not limited to procurement, contracting, FI$Cal, travel, fiscal and business services.
- Independently analyze, implement, and maintains the office forms management program, ensuring efficient and economical collection of information in accordance with laws, rules and regulations.
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures for management of office forms.
- Attend quarterly statewide form council meetings with external agencies to research, analyze, and develop solutions to forms related problems.
- Serve as a backup on contract development and execution. Performs the most complex and sensitive work of developing and executing contracts for IT and non-IT services

Working Conditions
- This position is eligible for participation in the office’s hybrid telework program. Work at the alternate work location must be conducted in a space that is ergonomically sound, private, distraction-free, and has safe working conditions to be eligible to telework.
- Work performed in the office is in an air-conditioned high-rise building with elevator access and both natural and artificial lighting.
- Work may require sitting for an extended period of time using a personal computer and the use of standard office equipment, such as phones, copiers or scanners.
- Work may require periodic non-standard work hours and work during weekends to meet workload needs and demands.
