Under general supervision of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I (Transactions Manager) of the Transactions Unit (Unit) in the Personnel Office, part of the Human Resources Branch (HRB) within the Administration Division (Division) of the Department of Cannabis Control (Department), the Personnel Specialist will be responsible for performing personnel transactions and audits related to payroll, time and attendance reporting, appointments, separations, and benefits. The incumbent will be responsible for independently processes various complex and sensitive personnel transactions accurately and in compliance with applicable bargaining unit contract/Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) language, departmental policies and procedures, and laws and rules of the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR), State Personnel Board (SPB) and State Controller's Office (SCO) while meeting management and clients' expectations.
