Under the supervision of the Supervising Special Investigator (SSI) I, the Special Investigator conducts inspections, investigations, and administrative and civil enforcement actions related to all commercial cannabis activity within their assigned region for the Department of Cannabis Control (Department). The incumbent may also perform coordinated inspections and investigations with other governmental agencies in regard to licensed and unlicensed cannabis activities to ensure compliance of California's commercial cannabis laws and regulations.
