Job Summary
The Analyst Programmer will be a hands-on, technical member of the Student Systems team responsible for implementing and maintaining software systems and interfaces to various student information systems including PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. This is an internal customer-facing role, and requires excellent prioritization, responsiveness, highly technical skills, and customer service, along with excellent verbal communication skills. In keeping with the Enrollment Services values and competencies, the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Programmer develops and maintains positive working relationships with all contacts internal and external to Enrollment Services. Furthermore, the incumbent provides services that are equitable, inclusive, and culturally sensitive to enhance the quality of campus life. This position uses a student-centered and equity-minded approach in all communication and service efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide daily technical support for users of the Student Administration systems including (but not limited to): CMS PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, DocOrigin, and CSLink based reports.
- Development and Programing: Perform analysis, detailed program specification, programming, testing, and documentation to expand the functional scope of the Student Administration systems, to meet the business needs of the university.
- Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with Systems and functional teams with Student Administration systems related enhancements and workflows.
- Third Party Systems Support: Provide support for third-party systems and applications related to Student Administration processing.
- Documentation & Testing: Ensures operational integrity and continuity by maintaining detailed descriptions of responsibilities, ranging from daily tasks to strategic activities and outcomes, and makes them available to supervisor.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge in PeopleSoft tools, techniques, and related programming languages including (but not limited to): SQL, SQR, App Engine, Application Designer, PeopleCode, PeopleTools, and debugging in a multi-tier distributed architecture is preferred. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft modules, especially Campus Solutions and Student Administration is preferred. Working knowledge of the UNIX environment. Demonstrated ability to learn and support peripheral Student Administration applications. Demonstrated ability to work with technical and functional peers and to share knowledge. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication (both verbal and written) skills. Planning and organizing skills. Strong listening skills. Maintains a safe work environment. Communicates with the University community in a civil manner. Treats all customers (students, faculty and staff colleagues) with dignity and respect, empathy, fairness and professionalism, consistent with the university mission, values and strategic vision.

Education and Experience
- Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Management, or similar degree and two years of related experience required.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $6,665 - $7,835 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,912 - $12,124 per month.

Time Base
1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of Appointment
