Position Purpose
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Informational Officer, the Multimedia Technology Analyst I (Analyst) provides faculty, staff, and students technical expertise in campus 'smart spaces' (classrooms, conference rooms, college rooms, and others) to ensure the tech tools work flawlessly and efficiently. To meet the needs of the instructional environment, the analyst works with the information technology network team to ensure secure connectivity to all 'smart spaces', remains current with developments in the field, and ensures consistent customer service delivery.
Essential Function
75% Multimedia SupportPerform daily inspections before classes and events held in lecture halls to ensure all technology is functioning as expected. Troubleshoot and resolve software, operating system, and networking problems.Conduct orientations and training sessions to build user skills in classroom technologies.Schedule, support, and utilize monitoring tools to troubleshoot incidents and enhance the availability of 'smart spaces' services.Perform equipment refreshes and hardware installations; troubleshoot with a vendor to identify issues and initiate fixes and resolutions.Deploy technology hardware and / or software applications via in-person and virtual assistance.Work directly with vendors to maintain Audio Video (AV) technologies that support the teaching, learning, and research mission.Maintain any required auxiliary equipment pools to supplement and / or replace deployed equipment and technologies.Perform testing, inspection, preventive maintenance, and monitoring to ensure established expectations are met.Participate in the development and assessment of academic technologies and support learning-based technologies in multiple formats.Create and maintain documentation as it relates to internal use policies, procedures, designs / configurations, and proper usage of equipment.Research new products to remain current with market trends and recent technology requirements and provide product recommendations to ensure effective operability and customer satisfaction.20% Badge Access Control
Manage badge control software and print badges in-house for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors.Monitor and update software as appropriate, order inventory, and ensure timely distribution of badges.Partner with HR / People and Culture and the Office of Admissions to receive information on employees and students. Support established procedures and help implement workflow process improvements.5% Other Duties as Assigned
Required Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related area, and a minimum of two (2) years of experience related to the essential functions of this position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be required.Skills and Abilities

Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer science or information technology plus two (2) years of experience related to the essential functions of this position.Audio Video certification (e.g., Certified Audio Video Technician (CAVT), Certified Audio Video Professional (CAVP), Professional Audio Video Technician (PAVT), etc.)Experience in higher education, medical education, or university environment.Familiarity with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99). This law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education.Other Requirements
