What can you expect?
As the Project Manager, you will work onsite in either in Fairbanks or Anchorage, AK and will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and budget control of multiple projects across diverse client sectors. Your key responsibilities include developing and implementing safety and quality control plans, managing project staffing, creating work plans, overseeing subcontractor performance, coordinating material and supply procurement, and handling logistics. The role also involves financial reporting, cost forecasting, and collaborating with the estimating department on project estimates. Additionally, you will take on estimating on smaller-scale projects.

How will you do it?
- Lead the process, working with the Estimator, Superintendent, Health Safety and Environmental Officers, Project Engineers, and Foremen to plan, organize, and direct activities to successfully perform the project.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy and contract specifications.
- Oversee drafting and implementation of a project-specific safety plan. Review job loss analysis (JLA) for applicability and compliance.
- Ensure the quality control plan is implemented and aligns with contract documents.
- Monitor and control projects utilizing onsite management staff to ensure the project is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Revise the working budget with client Engineers as needed.
- Maintain the project schedule and completion deliverables and communicate this information regularly to company management, the owner, and subcontractors.
- Work with the Cost Accounting Manager to maintain the financial records of the contract, protecting company interests and maintaining good relations with customers and subcontractors.
- Update and review with company management projected contract revenue, cost to complete, and cash flow projections monthly.
- Review project estimates and budgets and develop resource lists and schedules necessary to accomplish work.
- Requisition supplies and materials to complete projects as needed.
- Acquire necessary permits and land use agreements.
- Provide Equipment Manager with project equipment lists, utilization forecasts, mobilization schedules, maintenance, and repair needs.
- Ensure compliance with conditions and reporting requirements.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, including job cost coding and quantity tracking.
- Represent the company in project meetings.
- Update the pricing of change impacts as required.
- Assist with managing the estimating job folders.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Technical knowledge of various field construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of construction project scheduling, subcontracts, submittals, quality control and safety.
- Knowledge of construction, architectural, and building industry standard operating practices/procedures.
- Ability to prepare accurate budgets and cost estimates; knowledge of fiscal management principles and procedures.
- Ability to create, read, and understand complex documents, construction plans, and specifications.
- Ability to use standard business computers and applications, specifically computer software programs used in estimating (i.e., HeavyBid), Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project, to name a few.
- Skill in organizing resources, establishing priorities, meeting deadlines, and managing time.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Effective professional communication and interpersonal skills concerning:

Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management is required; work-related experience and equivalent skills may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
- Five (5) years’ experience managing projects, preferably in the heavy civil construction industry.
- Valid state driver’s license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Brice Inc’s Driving Policy.
- Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screening.
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, HCSS HeavyBid, HCSS HeavyJob, and Spectrum accounting software preferred.
