What can you expect?
As the Senior Equipment Rental Specialist, you will work onsite in Anchorage, AK and you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and managing the rental process from start to finish. This includes assisting customers in selecting the right equipment, processing rental agreements, ensuring the proper maintenance and availability of inventory, and handling rental-related administrative tasks. You will maintain an organized and efficient work environment while delivering high-quality customer support, resolving inquiries, and ensuring equipment readiness. You will also handle inside sales, develop business relationships, and work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth and successful rental operations.
How will you do it?
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

What can you expect?
As the Senior Equipment Rental Specialist, you will work onsite in Anchorage, AK and you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and managing the rental process from start to finish. How will you do it?
- Greet customers at the rental counter and assist them in selecting the most suitable tools or machines for their needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of rental options, including hourly, daily, and weekly rates, as well as rental terms.
- Demonstrate equipment and answer customer inquiries to ensure a thorough understanding of product functionality.
- Evaluate and address customer satisfaction, resolving any issues or concerns that arise.
- Review and process all incoming rental paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage and maintain current rental inventory, ensuring equipment is clean, well-organized, and ready for the next customer.
- Check returned equipment for damage, usage hours, mileage, and fuel levels.
- Coordinate rental schedules and ensure smooth execution of rental requests and reservations.
- Handle inside sales by supporting telephone and walk-in customers, negotiating and placing orders for construction/industrial equipment.
- Create and provide rental quotes to customers, both written and verbal.
- Prequalify rental customers by submitting credit applications and researching company histories as needed.
- Generate and manage “Rental Purchase Options” (RPO’s) for rental customers with the approval of the General or Operations Managers.
- Service existing accounts and develop new business through phone calls, site visits, and email communication.
- Load, unload, and prepare equipment for rental, ensuring proper functioning and readiness.
- Track rentals from initiation to completion, including delivery, payment authorization, and customer satisfaction.
- Keep detailed records of all rentals and transactions.
- Submit rental orders for sold or stocked units and manage inventory accordingly.
- Maintain an organized work environment to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Always demonstrate a professional attitude, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic understanding of sales and rental industry; general knowledge of industry best practices and procedures.
- General A/P and A/R knowledge.
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment and willingness to learn heavy equipment trade.
- Ability to operate a forklift, or willingness to be trained to operate a forklift.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as employee handbooks, safety instructions, and other procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Excellent analytical and technical skills with the ability to apply information to Company products.
- Demonstrated strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, including before groups of people.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to be consistently at work and on time.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Five (5) years’ experience in Sales, Rental Equipment or related field.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment required.
- Valid state driver’s license and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Yukon Equipment’s Driving Policy.
- Ability to pass a drug, driving and background screening.
