JOB SUMMARY:
The Aftermarket Sales Representative (AMSR) is responsible for promoting and selling aftermarket products and services such as Heavy Equipment Attachment, Ground Engaging Tool, Service’s, and Service Contract Sales to existing and new customers. This role involves identifying sales opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and providing expert advice on product offers that meet the needs of clients. The AMSR will be an integral part of the Yukon Equipment team working seamlessly with the New Sales Department, Parts Department, Service Department, and the Rental Department. This particular position will be a hybrid role focusing efforts on the Wholegoods Sales as well as the Rental Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage existing customers within assigned geographic territory to ensure growth.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities for aftermarket products and services to both existing clients and new prospects.
  • Focus on sales of Aftermarket solutions including, but not limited to, equipment attachments, (buckets, forks, teeth, undercarriage, etc.) light equipment, survey and GPS equipment, ground engaging tools, and service contracts.
  • Work with a goal to enhance the Yukon Equipment customer experience as well as to drive lifetime value of each unique piece of equipment.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and high customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Stay current on industry trends, product knowledge, and competitive offerings to effectively position the company's products.
  • Draft proposals, quotes, and close deals on aftermarket sales and service business.
  • Coordinate with internal Yukon Parts, Service, and Sales division to drive increased profitability.
  • Works with Management team to ensure appropriate equipment stocking levels.
  • Maintains relationships with vendors to negotiate best in class pricing as well as supply inventory.
  • Provide reports on market opportunities and market trends.
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractors’ activities engaged by the company.
  • Maintain all sales demonstration tools and applications.
  • Conduct Sales Presentations on company activities, industry trends and government regulations.
  • Maintain safe environmental practices.
  • Greet customers at the rental counter and assist them in selecting the most suitable tools or machines for their needs.
  • Provide detailed explanations of rental options, including hourly, daily, and weekly rates, as well as rental terms.
  • Review and process all incoming rental paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Check returned equipment for damage, usage hours, mileage, and fuel levels.
  • Create and provide rental quotes to customers, both written and verbal.
  • Generate and manage “Rental Purchase Options” (RPO’s) for rental customers with the approval of the General or Operations Managers.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Strong understanding and knowledge in Heavy Equipment attachments and aftermarket products.
  • Excellent time management skills. Ability to be consistently at work, and on time, and must use time effectively during scheduled shifts.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to identify and address customer needs to foster long-term business growth.
  • Ability to identify and pursue new sales leads, while maintaining a strong customer base of existing clients.
  • Ability to communicate technical specifications and benefits of aftermarket products to customers.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Understanding of pricing strategies, proposal generation, and contract negotiations.
  • Willingness to be a “road warrior” and spend time with customers in offices, shops, and on job sites. Willingness to adhere to customer site safety protocols.
  • Ability to actively listen and provide high-quality customer service.
  • Ability to do business ethically with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Ability to confidently present to clients, clearly communicating complex information to influence decision-making.
  • Good working knowledge of various personal computer business software applications presently used by the Company.
  • Familiarity with a variety of software applications and the ability to quickly grasp new tools and systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and understand the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ability to be detail oriented and ensure records are completed accurately.
  • Ability to think independently, take initiative, and generate innovative suggestions for improving workflow. Capable of presenting ideas in a manner that encourages collaboration and drives efficiency, ensuring work is completed on time and to high standards. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, and willing to work some overtime.
  • Basic working knowledge of mathematical skills such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal points.
  • Ability to follow instructions, respond to management directions; take responsibility for own actions; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Ability to identify parts, and basic understanding of such.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work in a Native Corporation multi-business environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Five (5) years’ relevant work experience in Sales or Parts, preferably in the aftermarket or related field.
  • Previous experience in Sales, preferably in the aftermarket or related industry.
  • Valid state driver’s license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Yukon Equipment’s Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screening.
