What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Sales Leader - Iowa position at Calix North America?
This is a remote based position located in the iowa region. Calix is helping the next generation of broadband service providers build an entirely new business model by reshaping the way that they interact with their subscribers, leveraging the power of cloud-based analytics, and enabling new revenue streams. The Regional Strategic Sales Leader will lead the development and execution of our strategy to deliver maximum revenue potential across the various Calix offerings for new prospects and existing Calix customers in the Tier 3 Broadband Service Provider (BSP) telecommunications, municipality, and electric cooperative markets. Coordination of the holistic Calix team (including solutions engineers, cloud specialists, product and marketing teams) is a critical to the success of this role. Managing the complete and complex sales-cycle, driving alignment with internal team members within the territory and ensuring Calix stays positively positioned with BSPs resulting in revenue growth, competition lock out, and identifying new opportunities in existing and prospect accounts. Responsibilities and Duties: Lead transformation of our client engagements to an expanded portfolio based on cloud, analytics, revenue edge and suites. Responsible for development, orchestration, and execution of overall regional sales strategy. Coordinate the activity of the entire Calix team to drive subscriber acquisition for our clients, and growth for the Calix value proposition. Ensure Calix is positively positioned across the territory to win all aligned opportunities. Drive team alignment, communication, and collaboration in a matrixed organization. Leads weekly team meeting for account activity planning and forecasting. Drive opportunities within a complex sales process to drive booking growth. Articulates the company’s mission concisely and can speak to customers and employees at all levels. Collaborates with senior management to devise effective short- and long-term plans. Provide guidance and coaching to Calix team to align departmental goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational strategy. Assessing market trends and competitors while Identifying threats and opportunities. Use the latest tools, including salesforce.com and its many add-ins to understand your market opportunity, competitors, coordinate as a virtual team, forecast sales activity and revenue while helping our clients succeed in their market. Qualifications: Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel on behalf of Calix to be fully vaccinated. Must have a strong working knowledge of management strategies, customer relations, and implementation of modern technologies. Experience selling cloud solutions platforms and business solutions, preferably into C Suite and senior management of organizations is highly preferred. Must have strong decision-making skills and the determination to see projects through to the end. Demonstrated skills in leadership, management, and collaboration. Must be self-directed and able to work independently. History of over-achieving quota (top 10-20% of company) in past positions. Exceptional understanding of business operations and procedures. Excellent communication and people skills. Outstanding research and analytical abilities. Project management skills. Must have 7 years’ experience in related sales and strategy execution. Regional travel is required, approximately 50% -75%. Bachelor’s degree or similar experience required.
