SUMMARY
As a Shop Floor Foreman, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing a team of production workers, coordinating schedules, and implementing quality control measures to maintain product standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and meet production targets while adhering to safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to enhance performance and productivity.
Monitor production processes and equipment to identify and address any issues or inefficiencies.
Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Collaborate with the maintenance department to ensure timely maintenance and repair of production equipment.
Communicate with other departments, such as quality control, procurement, and logistics, to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues.
Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review and decision-making.
Participate in production meetings and provide updates on production status, issues, and recommendations.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to continuously improve production processes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise all the machine operators. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of machine operators. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
