Groundskeeper/Maintenance Worker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper/Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and ensuring that all outdoor spaces are well-kept and functional. This role involves a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance, lawn care, and general upkeep of the property. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal and safety of our environment.

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Maintain flower beds, gardens, and other landscaped areas by planting, watering, and weeding.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various maintenance tasks.
• Irrigate plants and lawns as needed to ensure proper growth and health.
• Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards.
• Assist with groundskeeping duties to keep outdoor areas clean and presentable.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects or repairs as necessary.
• Assist maintenance director with maintaining commercial property.

Qualifications

• General plumbing, HVAC, electrical and fire suppression knowledge preferred.
• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with using power tools and hand tools effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• A passion for maintaining spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
