SUMMARY STATEMENT
This position will be responsible for fulfilling the needs of the Day School and Church food service ministries.
TYPICAL AND PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Help maintain the school kitchen to meet school and health department standards
- Assist staff with maintaining storage areas
- Check in vendor deliveries
- Assist in the daily food preparation and COVID-19 sanitation
- Continually seek ways to improve the Food Service Ministry
- Assist in setting up rooms for events
- Operate the checkout computer
- Assist in other tasks as directed by the Food Service Manager
POSITION REQUIREMENTS OR STANDARDS
- Work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the Food Service Ministry
- A willingness to work with other staff members, volunteers, and interns
- Have an understanding that this is a ministry and that we are here to support and serve
- Accept criticism and possess a willingness to learn
- Be able to work at times with little or no supervision
POSITION REQUIREMENTS OR STANDARDS
Spiritual gift of administration required. Gifts of faith and help/service would benefit the position. Must be experienced in overall food service office procedures, as necessary. Must exhibit professional image, understand protocol, be tenacious, use discretion, and make prudent decisions. Must also possess a willing spirit, as well as strong computer, organizational, and people and communication skills.
