Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various maintenance tasks, demonstrating both mechanical and electrical knowledge. This role is crucial for ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a high standard of operational efficiency.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on church properties, including plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC units.
- Supervise contractors and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Utilize logic controllers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Interpret schematics to understand complex systems and implement necessary repairs or improvements.
- Assist with Sunday morning worship opening before early worship.
- Qualify and hire contractors as necessary.
- Supervise and control performance of contractor's work.
- Conduct church painting tasks as required to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Overall day-to-day responsibility for inside and outside of church property.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed and materials used.
- Provide exceptional service by addressing church concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist in moving or referring homeless.
- Meet and work with the church Property Committee.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with a good understanding of mechanical systems.
- Strong service orientation.
- Experience in church painting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach with team members.
- A logical mindset with problem-solving abilities to address various maintenance challenges efficiently.
- Can work well with others.
