Are you called to shepherd and guide young athletes both on and off the field? Calvary Chapel Schools is seeking a Cross Country Coach to play a pivotal role in nurturing tomorrow's Christian leaders. As the Cross Country Coach, you will not only develop athletic skills but also instill Christian values, preparing students to lead with integrity and faith.

Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa (CCCM) is a Jesus Formed Community on Mission. Community, Formation and Mission are the three main ways that we believe we are to live out our discipleship to Jesus. As a Cross Country Coach you will be able to have a direct role in the formation of the next generation

Calvary Chapel Schools was established to meet the educational, social, and spiritual needs of the children of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, pastored by Pastor Char Brodersen. CCS is a ministry of CCCM, building up Christian leaders in mind, body, and soul through Biblical truth, character development, and strong academic pursuits, enabling students to serve and enjoy Christ and their community.

Position Purpose / Summary

Coaches are responsible to motivate, instruct, and coach student athletes. Their primary responsibility is improving the performance of these athletes and encourage them to develop and fulfill their spiritual potential. The ideal candidate will be a minister of the Gospel in this position and will have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. They will be an example to the staff, students, and parents.

Responsibilities:

• Agree with and live out the vision and values of CCCM as outlined in the Statement of Faith (www.cccm.com).
• Be an example to those with whom you come in contact and with whom you serve by exuding the love of Christ, and understand that it is a privilege to serve the Lord in vocational ministry.
• Coach student athletes to develop their skills and character, playing a vital role in nurturing tomorrow's Christian leaders.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents to set expectations and goals.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student athletes during practice and games.
• Serve as a positive role model, embodying Christian values and principles.
• Collaborate with school staff and administration to support the overall athletic program.

Requirements:

• Strong commitment to Christian values and principles.
• Experience coaching student athletes is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students and parents.
• Willingness to participate in training and professional development opportunities.
