What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flag Football (Girl's) Head Coach position at Mater Dei High School?
Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange has an immediate opening for a Flag Football (Girls) Head Coach. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the flag football (girls) program, including team practices, performances, competitions, lower-levels and the development of athletes.
Position starts immediately
Qualified candidate will:
Candidate must develop, organize, and manage the entire sports program, including off-season, pre-season, in-season, and post-season activities.
Oversee assistant coaches and ensure they adhere to school and athletic department policies.
Candidate should be dedicated to the mission of Catholic education, as envisioned in Church documents and teachings, rooted in our core principles of Honor, Glory, and Love.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Certifications:
NFHS Concussion in Sports
NFHS Heat Illness Prevention
NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest
CPR/FA/AED
Experience/Required Skills
At least 1-3 years of experience within a high school or collegiate setting.
Strong knowledge of flag football (girls) leading techniques and safety protocols.
Ability to lead and mentor student-athletes and assistant coaches.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
