Job Description
Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange has an immediate opening for a Flag Football (Girls) Head Coach. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the flag football (girls) program, including team practices, performances, competitions, lower-levels and the development of athletes.
Position starts immediately
Range: $8,000 to $10,000 BOE
Qualified candidate will:
- Candidate must develop, organize, and manage the entire sports program, including off-season, pre-season, in-season, and post-season activities.
- Oversee assistant coaches and ensure they adhere to school and athletic department policies.
- Candidate should be dedicated to the mission of Catholic education, as envisioned in Church documents and teachings, rooted in our core principles of Honor, Glory, and Love.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Certifications:
- NFHS Concussion in Sports
- NFHS Heat Illness Prevention
- NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest
- CPR/FA/AED
Experience/Required Skills
- At least 1-3 years of experience within a high school or collegiate setting.
- Strong knowledge of flag football (girls) leading techniques and safety protocols.
- Ability to lead and mentor student-athletes and assistant coaches.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
