Summary for the Student Worship Leader / Instrumentalist full-time position at Calvary Church:
Shared Responsibilities
- Full, enthusiastic commitment to the Calvary Articles of Faith, Mission & Purpose, Philosophy of Ministry, and Philosophy of Worship.
- A passion for supporting personal and corporate worship, unity, and connection within the Body of Christ at Calvary.
- Desire and ability to serve as a member of a dynamic team; able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to present oneself in a professional manner.
- Manage time effectively. Able to work independently and collaboratively as needed.
- Ability to initiate and participate in positive and productive communication with co-workers, ministry volunteers, and those from the congregation.
- Serve (guitarist, vocalist, etc.) in worship services.
- Assist with recruiting, developing, and coaching musicians of all ages, especially guitarists.
- Assist with leading NextGen Worship Ministry, especially high school band and worship services, possible college and young adult if developed.
- Plan and lead the music portion of the worship services from time to time, as assigned.
- Assist with shepherding responsibilities as assigned and age appropriately.
- Assist with implementing tools (technology, media, etc.) to increase the effectiveness of the music and worship services.
- Be available to help with technical needs (sound, video) if needed/assigned.
- Carry out any miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.
