CURRENT OPENING:
The Culinary Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of
the foods service production staff and dishwashers under the guidance of the
Executive Director of Calvary Homes .
This position will be performed in accordance with TANDEM LIVING Core Values,
Mission Statement, and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High
school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal
Culinary Degree preferred.
- A
minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in high-volume
institutional or restaurant food preparation.
- ServSafe
certification required, or must be willing to obtain certification within 90
days of employment.
- Must
have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Supervises
all daily operations of the dining service including Front of House and Back of
House; Supervises Café, Special Events. Models Core Values to the entire food
service team.
- Directs
Chefs and production staff in the preparation and cooking of all meals and
demonstrates and enforces the use of standardized recipes, production sheets,
and log forms. Monitors adherence to all polices, and established procedures.
- Performs
opening and closing duties in food service areas by checking and using opening
and closing lists every day. Ensures all Chefs, production staff, dishwashing
crew, and servers have completed daily, weekly, monthly, and other assigned
duties by the end of the shift.
- Leads
the ordering and inventory process ensuring the operation is efficient,
minimizing waste, and stewarding resources.
- Monitors
financial results and payroll data.
