helping students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.

Possess a high school diploma and have completed at least six semester units, or equivalent quarter units, of early childhood education or child development core classes at an accredited college, university, or occupational program or be willing to participate in a program to complete the six semester hours within a specified time period. Spiritual Leadership
Provide an age-appropriate, personal introduction to God and Jesus so that the Holy Spirit can draw the children into relationship with Christ.Introduce children to concepts of the love God has for them, His creation of them, and the high value He places on them.Ensure that the classroom work environment is Christian-based, nurturing, wholesome, and loving.Work with the administration and staff to address the spiritual formation needs of the students.Academic Leadership
Help the preschool teacher carry out the lesson plans, which should reflect the program's curriculum and Christian values and standards.Assist in the preparing materials used in instructional activities.Assist children in their development of communication skills, and serve as an appropriate language model.Ensure that the classroom reflects a professional and Christian environment.Give full attention to the class, and be responsible for the safety and well-being of the children.Demonstrate an awareness of the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of the children in the preschool.Guide children in washing their hands and face during the day, especially after art activities, before lunch, and after toileting.Help the preschool teacher respond in a timely manner to parent requestsfor help or information.

Lead indoor and outdoor activities that are planned by the preschool teacher.Understand the necessity of closely supervising children and leading them in a positive manner.Assist in the communication and enforcement of behavioral guidelines in a fair, consistent, andpositive manner.
Supervise the play area, and guide children into safe play activities.Confront children in situations that pose a danger to other children.Meet regularly with the rest of the staff to ensure coordination of programs and prompt problem resolution.Participate in beginning-of-year staff orientation, staff devotionals, staff meetings, and parent / teacher fellowship meetings.Know the procedures for dealing with emergency situations in the classroom and school.Help the preschool teacher conduct required emergency safety drills in coordination with school leadership.Report to the appropriate individuals any campus safety, health, and maintenance needs that are observed.Inform the early education director in a timely manner if unable to fulfill any assigned duty.Deal directly and frankly with the program administration in an earnest effort to resolve differences of opinion when they exist.Additional Duties or Responsibilities
