What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pnuema Coffee House Assistant Manager position at Calvary Worship Center?

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Head Manager in daily administrative, employee, volunteer, and event tasks at Pneuma Coffee House. We expect this person to demonstrate spiritual leadership and foster excellence in hospitality and business practices. Likewise, this person will seek growth and maintain the following areas for the congregation and the local community:
Inventory and Equipment Management:
· Ordering, receiving and stocking beverages, pastries and prepping items
· Maintenance of equipment
· Healthy contact with all vendors
· Replacement/repair throughout the coffee shop - taking the initiative to let the appropriate people know immediately
Excellent Product and Craft Growth:
· Ability to make every menu item with accuracy and excellence
· Pursuit of growth in your craft
· Assisting the head manager in product development whether house-made or brought in
· Updating the menu and pricelist according to what is selling and what is seasonal when necessary
Employee and Volunteering Oversight: At Pneuma Coffee House we believe in empowering and equipping our staff and volunteers with both grace and clear guidelines. This way we can encourage trust and build up people who are passionate about what they do! You will be assisting the Head Manager in the following capacities.

Volunteers

· Facilitating gatherings and group trainings
Event Creation/Facilitation:
· Support leading, building, recruiting staff
· Facilitate events with the help/oversight of the Head Manager
Media and Merchandise Involvement:
· Work with the Head Manager and Marketing Director to maintain our media platform and merchandise.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and display Christ-centered behavior (treating people with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity always).
· Leadership/management experience and ability to lead staff and volunteer teams
· Prior restaurant or coffee shop experience
· Able to meet the physical requirements that are not limited to lifting over 20 lbs., standing long hours, moving at a fast pace, and working with very hot equipment

· Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and information
· Active listening skills to understand the needs and concerns of the staff and congregation
· Ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse groups of people
Organizational and Administrative Proficiency
· Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
· Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
· Familiarity with administrative tools and systems to streamline operations
Knowledgeable in Theology and Church Ministry
· A growing relationship with Jesus
· A solid foundation in biblical knowledge and theological principles
· Understanding of the church’s mission, vision, and core values
Ministry Experience
· Previous experience in church leadership, pastoral ministry, or a related field
· Experience in managing staff, leading teams, and overseeing church operations

· Strong personal integrity and a lifestyle consistent with the scriptures
· A servant-hearted approach to ministry and a genuine love for people
· Humble, willing to receive correction, and actively seeks reconciliation.
