As a part-time RN/LPN at Calvin Community, you’ll play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our residents while working in a dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of promoting health, wellness, and comfort for our residents, and you’ll be supported by a strong and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Monitoring: Take and monitor patient vital signs to ensure health and well-being.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient behavior or health status to unit managers and families.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts.
- Specimen Collection: Collect specimen samples when needed for testing.
- Care Planning: Assist in the development of individualized care and treatment plans for residents.
- Assistance in Procedures: Provide support during medical procedures and treatments.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure quality care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency medical situations, providing care as needed.

- Stress Management: Patience and adaptability when working in challenging or high-pressure situations.
- Assessment Skills: Strong attention to detail with a keen ability to observe, assess, and respond to patient needs.
Qualifications:
- A current, valid RN or LPN license in good standing in the state of Iowa.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Knowledge and understanding of federal and state assisted living regulations.
