Job Title: Child Welfare Case Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Welfare Case Manager with experience in foster care to join our team. This role involves providing case management services to children in foster care and their families, ensuring safety, permanency, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree in social work or a related field and a strong understanding of child welfare policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments of children and families to determine needs, risks, and strengths.
Develop and implement individualized case plans to support child safety, permanency, and well-being.
Monitor and document child progress, ensuring compliance with state and federal child welfare regulations.
Coordinate services such as mental health counseling, medical care, educational support, and family reunification efforts.
Conduct home visits, school visits, and supervised visitations with biological and foster families.
Advocate for the childs best interests in court hearings, case staffings, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Collaborate with foster parents, biological families, social workers, educators, healthcare providers, and legal professionals.
Provide crisis intervention and support to children and families as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic case management systems.
Educate families on child welfare policies, parenting skills, and available resources.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
1-3 years of experience in foster care, child welfare, or social services.
Knowledge of state and federal child welfare laws, trauma-informed care, and family dynamics.
Strong advocacy, crisis intervention, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with electronic case management systems (EHR, SACWIS, or similar software).
Valid drivers license and ability to travel for home visits and court appearances.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in family reunification, permanency planning, or adoption services.
