Core Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall planning and organization of the total turnaround effort to include such areas as:
Overall plan and layout
Organization
Standard and special field operating procedures
Coordinates with the client, project management and project services in setting up required reporting procedures and formats for client and CAM management needs.
Reviews construction cost, estimates, budgets, forecasts and schedules. Also reviews certain specifications and drawings for economic constructability.
Participates in the resolution on areas of concern such as material delivery and contract/subcontract administration.
Coordinates with the project managers, design engineers, procurement, planning and scheduling and other personnel in setting and maintaining priorities to ensure timely performance sufficient to keep the overall project on schedule and within budget.
Directs the Site management teams in the overall turnaround efforts.
Participates in the review and/or development of functional operations and controls
Reviews and approves preliminary estimate and turnaround schedules as required
Participate in the engineering and operations review meetings
Management review meetings where approvals of tentative schedules and budgets are made.
Participates In proposal preparation, project planning and scheduling by furnishing expertise on turnaround methods and equipment, labor productivity guidelines, and estimates of distributable expenses and labor wage rates.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of experience in the planning and execution of turnaround activities
Thorough knowledge of all field disciplines, all turnaround technologies and project management.
BS or MS degree in construction management or scientific discipline OR Specialized courses in AND/OR Extensive actual work experience leading to the thorough understanding of the knowledge described above
Project Management certification (PMP), preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
Ability to travel to support mob in/out work
IRATA / SPRAT Level 1, 2 or 3 certifications, preferred
Must have a capacity for work at heights
Maintains proficiency at rescue techniques and assist in rescues as directed and in accordance with certification level.
Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to the IRAT/SPRAT standards and practices
Ensures team members utilize proper personal protective equipment
Displays a healthy respect for heights and follows all OSHA, site specific and company's safety procedures
Participates in required training and maintains a working understanding of rope access safe working practices
Inspects and verifies rope access systems and components before use
Recognizes worksite hazards and notifies the team, safety of any unsafe conditions, works to correct unsafe conditions before continuing work
Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, respirators, etc.)
