Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and feeding of livestock, including horses, cattle, and other animals.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment for various ranch tasks such as irrigation, fencing, and land management.
- Perform basic gardening duties, including planting, watering, and harvesting crops.
- Supervise other ranch workers or volunteers as needed to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure safety and functionality.
- Utilize power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks around the ranch.
- Engage in heavy lifting and physical labor as required for various ranch activities.
- Assist with welding tasks for repairs or construction projects on the ranch.
- Implement effective irrigation practices to optimize water usage for crops.
Skills
- Basic math skills for measuring feed, water, and crop yields.
- Experience in farm operations or similar agricultural environments is preferred.
- Strong supervisory skills to manage team members effectively.
- Knowledge or experience with equine care is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the day.
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation is essential.
