Job Overview:
Our Customer Success team is seeking a Professional Learning Facilitator for the Voyager Sopris Learning team to deliver and facilitate effective and engaging training sessions for our customers. Professional Learning Facilitators are responsible for demonstrating best practices around in-person and online facilitation, coaching, and supporting programs.
This is a part-time position requiring significant travel, with heaviest concentration of work in August and September. Candidate must live and maintain residence within 50 miles of one of the major international US airport: Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Charlotte (CLT), Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), Denver (DIA), Detroit (DTW), Los Angeles (LAX), Las Vegas (LAS), Miami (MIA), Minneapolis (MSP),New York (LGA, JFK, EWR), Orlando (MCO), Phoenix (PHX), Seattle (SEA), San Francisco (SFO)
Job Responsibilities:
Facilitate professional learning sessions for educators across the country who use VSL programs
Participate in onboarding and ongoing internal learning for our products
Work collaboratively with the Manager of Professional Learning Facilitators to ensure the delivery of successful, engaging and effective learning experiences
Collaborate with Strategic Implementation Success Managers to understand the intention behind each session and customization needed
Review post-session survey data and apply the feedback toward professional growth
Complete post-session reporting documentation within specified time frames: attendance reports, non-standard training scenarios, and district insights as needed
Stay abreast of the latest research in the area of expertise
Utilize various types of technology and systems with proficiency to perform job requirements
Maintain regular communication with Manager of Professional Learning Facilitators
Direct program experience as a district leader, instructional coach, or classroom teacher with LANGUAGE! Live, Step Up to Writing, or TransMath for at least one year is required
Effective presentation skills for in-person and virtual settings utilizing a variety of collaboration and engagements strategies with adult learners
Facility with various video conferencing platforms and embedded engagement tools to facilitate virtual service delivery
Proficiency using technology-based productivity tools including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other web applications
Deep knowledge of current research and trends in literacy and mathematics education, as well as the challenges that school district partners face
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills (communication, problem solving, collaboration, and sensibility to build rapport with customers and co-workers)
Flexible with changes in direction and the ability to overcome challenges that accompany change
Organizational skills, particularly in the realm of time management, logistics, and scheduling
Ability to travel across the country using various modes of transportation. This can include evenings, occasional weekends, and driving after dark
Job Requirements:
Direct program experience as a district leader, instructional coach, or classroom teacher withLANGUAGE! Live, Step Up to Writing, orTransMathfor at least one year is required
Bachelor's degree in education required. Master's degree preferred.
At least 3 years teaching experience in K-12 education
At least 1 year of delivering professional learning sessions or coaching and consulting with teachers in applying best practices in classrooms with various populations of learners
Experience with Voyager Sopris Learning curriculum
