Job Summary:
The Exterior Cleaning Attendant is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of grounds outside the Cambria Detroit Hotel complex.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sweeping and power-washing sidewalks, entryways, and other exterior areas.
- Shoveling snow from sidewalks and entryways.
- Removing trash from exterior areas and disposing of it properly.
- Cleaning exterior windows and glass surfaces.
- Cleaning the parking garage and ensuring it is free of debris.
- Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
Education and Experience:
- Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate about job-related needs.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in outdoor maintenance and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
