Title: Fine Arts Coordinator
Reports to: Upper School Principal
Work Year: 10 months
Position Focus:
Assists the Director of Fine Arts and Fine Arts teachers with all Fine Arts related tasks and events, generally outside of the classroom.
Spiritual:

- Motivate others to accept Gods gift of salvation and grow in their faith.
- Follow the Matthew 18 principal in dealing with students, parents, staff, and administration.
- Lead others to a realization of their worth in Christ and cultivate their growth in Christ-like character.
- Subscribe to and promote the state of faith.
Position Parameters:
Event Responsibilities
Attend, arrange and organize all on-campus Fine Arts events including general house operations, reservations, billing, payments, paperwork, set up and take down, permission slips, all promotional materials and social media including poster design and distribution, tickets, program layout and design, volunteers, ticket sales, security services, cast meals, concession stands, piano tuning, budget management for each event, t-shirt and merchandise design and distribution, and senior recognition.
Concert Attire for Band and Chorus
Arrange and organize the purchase of formal concert attire for band and choral students. Schedule fitting day, create flyers, and/or fit students with used concert attire.
Field Trips
Schedule, organize and chaperone all field trips for Fine Arts Department including Ovation Summer Retreat, Band and Choral Music Performance Assessments, Walt Disney World performances and various local performances such as churches, TV stations, and nursing homes.
Choir Trip
Schedule, organize and chaperone annual Choir Trip including budget management, airline tickets, accommodations, excursions, billing, design of apparel and merchandise, meals, transportation, gathering all required paperwork, creating devotional materials, and informational packets for parents.
Band and Choral Boosters/Philanthropy
Arrange and organize online membership forms, gifts, reserved seating, and acknowledgments to donors.
Fine Arts Events
Ovation Summer Retreat, Fall Band and Choral Concerts, Ovation Coffee House, Fall Play, Christmas Choral Concert, Spring Break Choir Trip, Spring Musical, Spring Band and Choral Concerts, International Thespian Society reception and other Fine Arts events as necessary.
Additional Involvement
Liaison with Business Administration, Advancement, Operations, Print Media, Marketing, and parents, assists with monitoring large classes, i.e. Middle School Chorus or pre-concert run-throughs, Fine Arts Classroom coverage as needed, care for and store Fine Arts Equipment, maintain costume closets, prop room, and stage.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Fine Arts Secretary Coordinator must have good people skills, be detail oriented, have organizational skills, and have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid or obtained within 2 months of employment
- Experience in school organizational planning preferred
- Able to work with adults and students
- A Christian who is a member of good standing in a Bible believing church
