Essential Duties
Job Summary:
The Workday Financials Administrator will lead the configuration, optimization, and support of the Workday Financial Management system, ensuring seamless operation and alignment with organizational goals. This role requires deep experience in Workday FIN modules and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes, manage integrations, and provide actionable insights through reporting and analytics. Responsibilities include maintaining the existing configuration and design of business processes, generating and supporting reporting for Financials, documenting processes, managing security access, and ensuring the health and integrity of the Workday system. The role requires collaboration with various business stakeholders, internal teams, and external vendors to achieve optimal system performance and compliance.
Essential Duties:
- Configure and manage Workday FIN modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Expenses, and Procurement.
- Maintain and enhance Workday configurations to address evolving business needs and ensure optimal functionality.
- Analyze and streamline financial workflows and processes using Workday FIN functionalities.
- Implement automated solutions to improve efficiency in financial operations.
- Provide expert-level support for system issues, troubleshoot problems, and resolve or escalate them as necessary.
- Own and manage issues through to resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Partner with internal teams (Finance, HR, IT) to build and maintain Workday configurations, business processes, and security settings.
- Configure and manage business processes, custom reports, and change requests for application modifications.
- Set up and maintain security domains, groups, and business process management configurations to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Design, develop, and deploy Workday integrations using Studio, Connectors, and EIBs (inbound and outbound).
- Investigate and resolve integration failures, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
- Implement and manage Workday Accounting Center to enhance efficiency.
- Streamline data transformation processes to consolidate financial transactions from various sources.
- Ensure accurate and timely journal entry creation and posting.
- Evaluate current processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, implementing solutions to enhance system performance.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all internal Workday processes and configurations.
- Assist and train end-users, providing frontline support for Workday Financial-related issues.
- Stay informed about the latest Workday Financials features and updates, evaluating their potential impact on the organization.
- Lead or participate in system upgrades and enhancement projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Education & Experience
The ideal candidate would possess an intermediate to advance level of experience, typically around 5 or more years, with Workday Financials.
Certificates & Licenses
Workday Pro certification in Financials strongly desired.
What you Bring:
- Proficiency in key FIN modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Expenses, and Banking & Settlement.
- Strong experience with Workday reporting tools, including Advanced Reporting and Composite Reports.
- Demonstrated ability to design and solve new integrations with Workday.
- Knowledge of Workday iintegration tools, including Studio, EIBs, Core Connector, Cloud Connect, APIs, RaaS, Web Services, XSLT, and REST URLs.
- Experience with Adaptive Planning or other financial planning tools is preferable.
- Track record of recommending and implementing process improvements, innovative solutions, and compliance measures.
