• Program Managers are responsible for all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned and directly supports the achievement of strategic goals. Provides strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture. You will also oversee the progress of operations.
Take a high-level view of the entire program, and strategically guide project managers to ensure they are all working effectively toward the program’s objective.
Planning and managing large and/or complex projects or project components from the design phase through implementation. They gather required information from the client, while leveraging cross-functional relationships, to evaluate and determine objectives, goals, and scope of any given project. They develop detailed project plans and manage all processes throughout the project lifecycle (e.g., resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control processes, testing, documentation, and training). They ensure milestones are achieved, project objectives are met and projects are successfully delivered on time and on/under budget.
Mentors and assists lower level Project Managers.
Demonstrates a basic understanding and adheres to departmental processes for change control. Maintains a level of cybersecurity knowledge sufficient to securely accomplish their job duties.

Responsibilities

1. Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects
2. When warranted, make assignments to project managers project that fall under the program umbrella
3. Decide on suitable strategies and objectives
4. Coordinate cross-project activities
5. Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff
6. Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities
7. Apply change, risk and resource management
8. Assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors
9. Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI
10. Resolve projects’ higher scope issues
11. Prepare reports for program director
12. Train/mentor junior Project Managers
13. Planning – formulates a plan to meet the objectives of the project while adhering to an approved budget and timeline
14. Excellent leadership and communication skills
15. Execution – participate in and supervise the successful execution of each stage of a project
16. Time Management - When derailments arise, project managers are responsible for resolving them and communicating effectively with team members and other stakeholders to ensure the project gets back on track. Project managers should be experts at risk management and contingency planning so they can continue moving forward even when roadblocks occur.
17. Create and manage budgets
18. Documentation – make sure that all relevant actions are approved and signed off on, and that these documents are archived for future reference.
19. Controls scope

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact)

The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.

Competency Statement

Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist.

6. Perform work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies, including but not limited to, overtime, various shift work, and on-call situations.
7. Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization.
8. Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable.
9. Perform related duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree (Required) Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Experience: 10 years of related project management or relevant experience
