Description
Manage operations of defined departments and activities. Direct and lead effective and successful management of labor, safety and quality, and efficiency measures as established and set for the department(s). Serve as a company representative on regulatory issues related to departments of responsibility. Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles within the departments. Continuously consider opportunities to expand and improve the systems by which the department(s) operate.
Knowledgeable with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on extensive operational management experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and key performance indicators. Lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends; update company work instructions as fit and thru annual review.
- Forecast requirements; analyze variances; identify root cause(s); initiating corrective actions
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; injury/accident free workplace.
- Manage staff hours.
- Responsible for performance and development of all floor managers, lead operators and operators, with review/approval responsibility for all employees assigned to department(s) of scope.
- Ensure all operating policies and/or current issues are communicated appropriately through department and/or stand up meetings
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Strong development and oversight skills
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations
- Excels in conflict management
- Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- 2 years’ proven experience in an operations management position
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field
- Bilingual communication skills (Spanish)
