What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Line Inspector position at Camco Manufacturing Inc.?
Camco Manufacturing Inc is a fast-growing machine shop located in Sayre, PA. Camco is looking for detail-oriented individuals to join the Quality Department. Some experience is preferred but will train the right candidates for the position of Line Inspector.
With proper training, a line inspector will be able to:
- Perform inspections across all stages of production.
- Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
- Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly.
- Use various measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, bore mics, and drop indicators.
- Clearly, accurately and concisely communicate potential defects to quality engineers for disposition.
- Supports team management in schedule and prioritizing daily work.
- Monitors and verifies that product quality is in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and other control procedures.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
- Maintains necessary inspection documentation, writes inspection reports, and enters inspection data and defect information into a computer database.
- Frequently interfaces with internal teams across the organization
- Participates in team activities and provides expertise and guidance for effective problem-resolution.
- Follow Quality Procedures for Receiving Inspection, In-Process, Final and Source Inspection Processes to ensure compliance of part dimensions.
- GD&T knowledge and experience in metal manufacturing is preferable.
- Able to multitask and assist where needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
