Inventory Operations Supervisor
Location: Greensboro, NC
Position Type: Warehouse, ICBM
Overview:
The Inventory Control Supervisor supervises and coordinates the daily activities of the inventory control staff. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Being an Inventory Control Supervisor ensures adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily operations of the inventory operations department, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Analyzes trends of inventory discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory control process
- Provides leadership to the Materials Management team to include receiving, picking, counting and all other assigned duties
- Resolve discrepancies between the amount of inventory and the amount of revenue quickly and accurately.
- Monitors inventory levels very closely and resolve any issues any arising issues effectively.
- Develops and implements processes for accurately managing inventory.
- Ensures seamless movement of products and inventory.
- Maintains records regarding inventory control, intake, and sales.
- Reports to upper management regularly and provides recommendations for better inventory control.
- Trains and mentors team members on inventory process and systems.
- Assists in inventory deliveries and shipment of inventory as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems/computers
- Relevant Inventory Control experience (preferably in a manufacturing setting)
- Able to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Able to properly manage time and projects
- Ability to meet project schedules and maintain contingency plans
- Understand workflows in production and prioritize work
