Walmart Category Advisor
Location: Remote (Rogers, AR)

Overview:
Camco is seeking a Walmart Category Advisor to lead category management initiatives and deliver insights that drive growth for both Camco and Walmart. This role is remote within driving distance to Rogers, AR, and will serve as a strategic partner to Walmart’s buying team, leveraging data-driven recommendations to optimize category performance. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of Walmart’s modular execution processes and an ability to build long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement & Category Advisership:
- Serve as the primary category management contact for Walmart, delivering objective and data-driven recommendations to optimize category performance.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Walmart buyers through detailed analysis, insights development, and compelling presentations.
- Data Analysis & Insights:
- Conduct detailed category analyses using Retail Link, Luminate, syndicated data sources, and Camco market research studies.
- Translate data into actionable insights to drive category growth, optimize assortment, improve shelf performance, and refine pricing strategies.
- Monitor and report on emerging shopper and market trends through ongoing reporting and ad hoc analysis.
- Merchandising & Modular Development:
- Partner with Walmart’s buying and merchandising teams to support modular development, ensuring optimal space allocation and product placement.
- Leverage Camco’s proprietary data and industry expertise to provide recommendations on assortment and shelving strategies.
- Insights Delivery:
- Communicate insights and actionable recommendations to Walmart and Camco teams, ensuring alignment on category strategies.
- Develop processes and tools to deliver fact-based recommendations and streamline category management practices.
- Strategic Growth Initiatives:
- Utilize Camco’s advanced capabilities to deliver innovative solutions that enhance Walmart’s category performance.
- Participate in strategic planning discussions to align Walmart’s goals with Camco’s broader business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in category management, sales, or analytics, preferably within the consumer goods or retail sectors.
- JDA Prospace experience required
- Retail Link and Luminate experience highly preferred
- Proven ability to derive actionable insights from data and translate them into strategic recommendations.
- Experience with planogram/modular development
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and impactful insights to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with a track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
