Job Description - IT Specialist (Bilingual - Chinese Mandarin/English)
Overview
This role will involve providing technical support and expertise, troubleshooting technical issues, install and maintain computer systems, and network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support:
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- Assist with network connectivity and troubleshooting.
- Network Administration:
- Manage and maintain the company's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Implement network security measures to protect the company's data.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
- System Administration:
- Manage and maintain server systems, including operating systems, applications, and data backups.
- Perform system upgrades and patches.
- Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards.
- User Training:
- Provide training and support to end-users on new software applications and technologies.
- Develop and maintain user documentation and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and server administration.
- Experience with common software applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Strong customer service orientation.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Security .
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with database management systems (MySQL, SQL Server).
