The Pritchett Company is seeking a Finance Manager to join our organization. This role will assist the organization in creating long-term financial strategies for the health and wellness of both the company and the individuals associated with it. This individual will have a unique voice to aid in steering and guiding the CEO and COO in best practices, growth opportunities, and organizational efficacy. In all positions, we seek persons who are adept at critical conversations, have emotional accountability, and strive to create fulfillment in themselves and those around them.


  • Please note - ideally this person lives within a reasonable driving distance from our offices in Asheville, NC. For the right candidate, though, this can be a fully remote position with very little travel each year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implements financial and accounting best practices and oversees critical accounting procedures to ensure legal compliance with financial reporting and banking regulations at the local, state, and federal level.
  • Coordinates communication and projects with outside vendors, clients, business partners, and agencies.
  • Maintains and revises accounting systems as needed.
  • Reviews financial reports and advises corrective action accordingly.
  • Collects and analyzes data to prepare financial forecasts and suggest strategies to address challenges and leverage strengths.
  • Creates and adjusts balance sheets, P&Ls, T-12s, and pro formas to optimize profitability and transparency.
  • Assists and supports upper-level management to ensure sound financial decision-making that is in the long-term best interest of the organizational mission.
  • Reviews and processes payments made to clients, vendors, and other business partners.
  • Looks for ways to cut costs without impairing the long-term financial health of the organization.
  • Studies market trends and section-specific data to maximize profits and growth.
  • Maintains a record-keeping system that evolves with technology and the growth of the organization.
  • Executes revisions and updates to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate the expansion and scaling of the business and increase transparency and compliance.
  • Engages in sector-specific professional development opportunities to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the financial operations of the business and encourages and enables direct reports and other staff to do the same.
  • Maintains kind and cordial relationships with all staff members and external stakeholders.
  • Engages in both professional and personal development through various mediums.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to incorporate creative approaches to various projects by taking initiative and working independently
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Quick learning capability in relation to new software and technologies
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Well-developed organizational skills
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to work with all team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Spanish experience is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and forward-thinking
  • Confident personality and persistent when necessary
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Google Suite

Company Benefits:

  • PTO starting at 20 hours with 4 hours accrued at each pay period (rolls over yearly)
  • 5 yearly sick and/or wellness days (renews yearly)
