What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Director position at Camp Akiba?
Camp Akiba is seeking an energetic Athletic Director to lead our sports programs and inspire campers to grow their skills and confidence on the field, court, and beyond. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with kids, has a strong background in coaching, and enjoys fostering a positive and spirited camp environment.
The Athletic Director is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all sports areas and equipment, ensuring that our property looks pristine and our equipment lasts. They will also oversee sports programming, provide guidance to counselors running activities, and actively coach and encourage campers to develop their athletic abilities. In addition to leading sports, we are looking for someone who can help out on Boys' Side, serving as a mentor and role model while helping to oversee our general counselors.
We are looking for a candidate with experience in one or more of the following areas:
✔ Personal Training or Fitness Coaching
✔ Coaching Children's Sports
✔ Summer Camp Experience
✔ Professional or Collegiate Sports Experience
✔ Management or Director-Level Experience
