- Possesses a Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
- Pennsylvania Teacher Certification, preferred but not necessary
- Equivalent training and/or experience in athletics, preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years work or coaching in interscholastic/intercollegiate athletics and documented satisfactory performance in positions requiring skills stated in essential functions, preferred
- Certification: Must hold or be eligible for National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) status as a Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA)
- Working knowledge of the NFHS, NIAAA, Title IX and PIAA is desirable

- KNOWLEDGE OF:

- Works closely with the Equipment Manager in coordinating requisitions and bid specifications, preparing bids, and consolidating vendor responses
- Assists in coordinating all travel for athletic events
- Coordinates all middle school athletic events
- Coordinates and oversees Athletic Booster Clubs, including receipt of clearances and all required documentation per Policy 915
- Attends evening and weekend athletic events as designated by the Athletic Director
- Assists in the preparation and presentation of reports as required by the Superintendent of Schools or the School Board of Directors; coordinates all necessary information to be presented to the School Board
- Assists in the preparation of the Athletic Budget, with an understanding of school district operations and their implications to program planning and development
- Assists in organizing and conducting athletic award ceremonies (Senior/Parent Night, Hall of Fame Induction, College Signings, etc.); contacting award suppliers with the appropriate trophies and plaques and other awards as needed throughout the year
- Represents the district at any athletic event at which the Athletic Director cannot be present
- Assists in coordinating student physicals and concussion testing, and record maintenance
- Assists in updating and maintaining the athletic website and social media platforms
- Works cooperatively with the sports medicine staff in supervising the scheduling and implementation of athletic physicals
- Coordinates the acquisition of facilities not located on school district property
- Represents the school district at conference, district and state level meetings and events in the absence of the Athletic Director
