Position Title: Camp Housekeeper
Position Description: The Camp Housekeeper at Pocono Valley Resort is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all camp buildings, including cabins, restrooms, dining areas, and shared spaces. This role ensures a clean and comfortable environment for campers and staff by following daily, weekly, and sessional cleaning schedules. This is a seasonal summer position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, showers, and communal areas daily.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all camp buildings.
- Empty trash and recycling bins throughout camp.
- Wash, dry, and fold laundry, including bedding, towels, and staff uniforms (if applicable).
- Restock soap, toilet paper, and other hygiene supplies as needed.
- Perform deep cleaning of cabins and common spaces between camper sessions.
- Assist in cleaning and organizing the camp dining hall and kitchen areas.
- Identify and report maintenance or safety issues to the Facilities Manager.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a camp setting.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to take initiative.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Willingness to follow all camp policies and procedures.

- Primarily outdoor and indoor work in a camp setting, with exposure to changing weather conditions.
