Camp Bow Wow in Oak Creek is looking for Dog Handlers to start ASAP! This is an entry-level position, but preference is given to those candidates with dog-related experience. Starting pay is $13.25/hour with the addition of tips, and a chance to increase after 90 days of employment. Flexible schedule. PTO and 401k are available after one year of employment. Part-time hours average 20 - 30 hours/week 3-4 days per week and Full time 30 hours per week. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. We are looking for full-time and part-time availability.
Job Qualifications and Job Duties:

Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise dog Campers during dog daycare playtime to assure safe play. Must be attentive and be able to monitor dog interactions and read animal body language.
- Learn and identify appropriate and inappropriate dog behaviors.
- Pick up and dispose of dog waste immediately and appropriately.
- Clean indoor and backyard play areas, dog boarding cabins, food and water bowls, etc. according to Camp Bow Wow procedures. All positions at Camp Bow Wow involve cleaning. Feed and water dogs appropriately.
- Bathe dogs in the professional grooming tub and use a blowdryer and brush to dry and finish the coat.
- Make sound judgments in emergency situations involving dog sickness, injury, or evacuations.
- Work without direct supervision for most tasks.
- Communicate clearly and accurately with customers and staff members.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma is required. College is desirable.
- Previous job experience with dogs is not required, but it is helpful. CBW requires genuine love for dogs/animals and a dedication to safety and cleanliness. Professional experience working with dogs in a daycare or boarding facility, or as a Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, dog trainer, or other animal experience is highly desired.
- Reliable, on-time, and flexible.
- Capable of active and physical work. There is a lot of bending, stooping, lifting, reaching, and time spent on your feet.
- Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
- Desire to work hard and maintain professional & friendly relationships with co-workers every day.
- Competitive compensation based on relevant experience in dog handling, crew leadership, and front desk/customer interaction.
