Director of Summer Camp Logistics

Are you a seasoned camp professional seeking a dynamic summer leadership role with a lasting impact? Camp Cavell Conservancy, dedicated to providing enriching outdoor experiences, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Seasonal Director of Operations to lead our operational functions from May through August.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe delivery of our summer camp and retreat programs. You will oversee key operational areas, contributing directly to the positive experiences of our participants and the overall success of the Conservancy's seasonal activities.

As our Seasonal Director of Operations, you will:

• Lead and manage seasonal operations, including facilities oversight, food service coordination, transportation logistics, and adherence to health and safety protocols.
• Ensure efficient and effective daily operations throughout the summer season.
• Collaborate closely with program staff to support the seamless execution of camp activities and retreat schedules.
• Maintain clear communication with staff, volunteers, and vendors.
• Utilize computer platforms for document management, communication, and operational tracking.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive camp environment.

We are looking for a candidate with:

• 5 years of experience working in a camp setting.
• 3 years of management experience within a youth organization.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• A deep commitment to safety and the well-being of youth.
• Proficiency with computer platforms for managing documents (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite) and communications (e.g., email, project management tools).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for the mission of Camp Cavell Conservancy and the power of outdoor experiences.
