Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance:
Seasonal Position: (Spring to early Fall).
Avg: 40 hours a week till we close the campground for the season.
Opportunity to go Full time at the end of the season to discuss off season work.
Summary:
The Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance position performs both manual and specialized work in the upkeep of a campground and RV resort. This position entails a variety of routine and manual tasks in maintaining the appearance and conditions of the grounds, walkways, and roads on the grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- General property maintenance to include trimming of trees, plants and bushes.
- Gather and remove debris. Lawn maintenance mulching, aerating, weeding, grub and thatch removal, edging around flower beds, walkways, and camp sites.
- Carpentry work to include minor building repair and maintenance.
- Equipment maintenance as required.
- Oversee campground grounds staff.
- Maintain campground amenities including pool, playground equipment, volleyball court, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Requires medium to heavy physical effort.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment while performing campground and general grounds maintenance.
- Skilled in the use of commercial hand and power tools such as saws, lawnmowers, shovels, blowers, and on occasion operate ride-on mowers, trucks (w plow), heavy machinery, and tractors -TBD.
- Ability to clean grounds via sweeping, raking, shoveling, removing debris by hand.
- Ability to load trucks with debris, logs, dirt, etc.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Successful completion of a background check.
