About Us:
We operate two beautiful camp properties, Camp Evelyn in Plymouth, Wisconsin, and Camp Manitou in Shoto, Wisconsin. Camp Evelyn has over 240 acres of forest with access to Crystal Lake and the Mullet River. Camp Manitou has over 140 acres of forest with access to the West Twin River and our own beautiful Serenity Lake. Each summer over 1,000 girls, ranging in age from 6 to 17 years old, attend camp. Girls have the option of staying just for the day or overnight. The camping season starts in June and goes through the end of August. This is a seasonal position.
Job Duites:
- Have the camp store open for shopping at set times each day - Typically 10 am - 12 pm and 3pm - 5 pm
- Follow written directions for opening and closing the Canteen daily
- Maintain accurate records for all money handled and have a 2nd individual count cash to ensure accuracy
- Purcahse items to restock or have the camp director purchase items to restock as needed - we should not run out of anything
- If purchasing new items or items to restock, fill out a spreadsheet submit it to the main office and provide a receipt to the camp director
- Ensure accurate recording for any items given out, moved, or purchased for the Canteen
- Count all inventory monthly
- Maintain accuracy in ringing up all items in the Canteen and follow directions in our Canteen binder
- Provide quality customer service to all shoppers
- Clean the Canteen on weekly basis (windows, floors, trash, etc.)
- When time, assist in other areas of the camp program
We are looking for an individual who possesses the following skills:
- A passion for working with youth
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience working in retail is preferred
- Ability to accurately count deposits daily
- Use creative ideas to increase sales in our camp store
- Maintain a fun atmosphere in the camp store with decor
- Experience handling cash is preferred

Certification Requirements:
- Must have a valid US driver’s license
- First aid/CPR preferred
- Camp can provide all certifications. All online work for certifications provided by camp must be completed no later than two before the start of staff training
