SUMMER CAMP STAFF – Camp Waypoint
Camp Fire Green Country is looking for fun and energetic people who are excited about working to provide a life changing summer for the leaders of the future. Camp Waypoint is a residential camp located in Eastern Oklahoma on 220 acres on Ft Gibson Lake. We focus our campers’ experiences on building friendships and leadership skills, self-confidence, an appreciation for the outdoors, and an awareness of community responsibility – all in a welcoming environment. Camp staff achieve this by promoting active learning within small groups while progressively challenging campers as they grow older and gain experience.
We are currently interviewing for the following positions for the 2025 Summer season.
- Unit Counselors
- Climbing/Rappelling Instructors
- Camp porter
Wage: $385 - $400 per week depending on experience and certifications, includes meals and housing while at camp.
Approximate Dates: May 25-July 16
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work with children outdoors
- Ability to relate to one’s peer group
- Ability to accept supervision and guidance
- Ability to teach activities
- Current 1st Aid and CPR (training provided)
- Minimum age: 18
- High School graduate

PROGRAM SPECIALIST
Responsible for overseeing and delivering high-quality programming in Camp Fire Green Country’s (CFGC) adventure-based ropes course programs at Camp Waypoint on Lake Fort Gibson near Chouteau, Oklahoma. This role involves developing and facilitating engaging, safe, and educational experiences for participants of all ages, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and camp policies. The Program Specialist will work closely with other camp staff to provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision, contributing to a positive and enriching environment that fosters personal growth, teamwork, and outdoor skill development. Through their expertise, the Program Specialist will support the mission of the camp by delivering dynamic and impactful programs that promote confidence and outdoor education. This is a residential camp staff position. The Program Specialist will reside on site during training and all camp sessions.
