Seasonal position May-August Provides routine care to day and overnight campers including health screenings, medication distribution, and basic first aid/nursing tasks following standing orders and protocols from camp physician.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. High school diploma or GED.
3. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Nurse Aid, or current nursing student preferred.
4. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
5. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
6. Experience working with youth of diverse backgrounds and abilities preferred.
7. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
8. Ability to work with children and teens in an enthusiastic and positive manner.
9. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
10. Good character, integrity, patience, and adaptability.
11. Have, or have the ability to complete during staff training, Mandatory Reporter, and First Aid/CPR
certifications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be
met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions.

10. Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid/CPR. Must be able to assist
campers in an emergency (fire, water rescue, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess strength
and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
11. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate program equipment.
12. Willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours.
13. Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and varying weather conditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Ensure the health and well-being of campers and seasonal staff at all times:
- With the Health Care Manager, complete weekly health screenings at camper check in
- Under supervision of Health Care Manager, distribute daily prescription medications to
campers
- Provide compassionate and respectful support to campers and staff when they are ill or
injured.
- Provide First Aid and basic care to campers and staff as needed within scope of practice
and following standing orders provided by camp physician.
2. Assist Administrative Team in ensuring campers and seasonal staff engage in good health and
hygiene practices including staying hydrated, using sunscreen, taking breaks, etc.
3. Be a positive role model for youth in language, dress, behavior, and attitude.
4. Live in camp Health Lodge for the summer, providing basic health care as needed to campers and
staff.
5. Work cooperatively with other staff and Apprentices.
6. Cooperate with parents of campers. Communicate any staff or parent concerns to the
Administrative Team.
7. Manage personal time off in accordance with camp policy.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrative Team.
PAY: $400-$500/week depending on experience, prorated as needed for requested time off. Room and board
included
