Camp Laurel, a private children’s summer camp in Mt. Vernon, seeks an individual for a unique opportunity as Chef / Assistant Food Service Manager at one of the most reputable children’s summer camps in the northeast.
Looking for a candidate who wants a change of lifestyle and to follow in the footsteps of our Food Service Manager of 30 years.
Position runs June 1 - September 1 for 2025 and then transitions into a five month position. This opportunity is for a motivated, hard-working, loyal and passionate team-player to work closely with Camp Directors and current Food Service Manager. The individual will report directly to the Food Service Manager and Camp Director and eventually manage the entire food service operation.
The camp built a 20,000 square-foot, air-conditioned, state-of-the-art dining and kitchen facility
in 2017. Candidate should possess the knowledge to oversee all menu planning, budgeting,
hiring, ordering, receiving, cooking, staff scheduling and management. Housing on site.
