Job Summary
Camp O-AT-KA is seeking a full-time Facilities Manager to oversee all buildings and grounds at our beautiful location on Lake Sebago. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while also coordinating contractors for major projects. This is a year round position and can include year-round housing .
Duties
- Schedule and/or execute building maintenance at camp, with an emphasis on hands-on routine repairs and light renovations
- Maintain and enhance the landscape with mowing and string trimming
- Assist with set-up of events and programs using camp buildings and grounds
- Assist in coordinating camp volunteers for maintenance projects as necessary
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on various mowers, power tools, and other landscape equipment
- Perform winter snow clearing operations, including snow blower operation, hand shoveling, and tractor operation (including weekend storms)
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a facilities management with demonstrated experience and understanding in carpentry, drywall, painting, as well as basis plumbing and electrical work.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to follow through on job responsibilities
- Knowledge and work experience in use of hand tools, power hand tools, and basic knowledge of maintenance of these tools
- Experience working with power equipment such as riding mowers, and a variety of power tools
- Ability to work effectively and respectfully with other camp employees and alumni/friend volunteers
- Experience in managing buildings for staff as well as public use
- Basic computer (experience designing, managing, or utilizing a facilities database would be a plus)
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Physical Requirements
- This position has substantial physical demands including the ability to safely handle heavy equipment and materials
- Able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work outside in all seasons and weather conditions
- Able to climb stairs
- Able to drive passenger vehicles and pickup trucks

Pay: $44,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
